Brentwood, TN – Currey Ingram Academy, Tennessee’s top ADHD and dyslexia boarding school, is proud to announce that it is now accepting students to its Residential Life Program. This program aims to support and empower students with learning differences to achieve their fullest potential in an environment that fosters holistic student development.

The dyslexia boarding school’s commitment to its students goes beyond the four walls of the classroom. Open to students from grades 9 through 12, the Residential Life Program provides specialized support as students participate in the Currey Ingram’s existing day program. They learn to become more responsible individuals and develop other important life, social, and self-advocacy skills. The program also nurtures and facilitates an attitude of acceptance and camaraderie within the community.

The program’s 24/7 environment provides ample opportunities for students to fully engage in academics, athletics, arts, community service, and also enjoy downtime with friends.

Students thrive on Currey Ingram’s structured schedule. They attend four classes daily, beginning at 8 a.m. Their after-school schedule is composed of individual and team sports and extracurricular activities ranging from music, to theater, to community service. Weeknights are for studying, with the staff helping students plan and prepare for the following day, week, or for an upcoming school project.

Students at Currey Ingram’s boarding school get to have fun in socially-driven experiences, both during the school week and over the weekend. Activities lined up include hikes at local parks, building model rockets, movie nights, fire pit gatherings while making s’mores, in-house video game tournaments, massive slip-n-slides, yard games, barbecues, scavenger hunts, boating at Percy Lake, and trips to the Franklin’s Farmers Market and Downtown Franklin.

Currey Ingram’s Upper School program caters to students with learning differences in reading (dyslexia), writing (dysgraphia), math (dyscalculia), memory (long-term and working), processing speed, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and other learning differences that hinder them from achieving academic success in a traditional school setting.

Currey Ingram understands these students learn differently and should be taught accordingly. Teachers at this dyslexia and ADHD boarding school use evidence-based instructional approaches and present material through an individualized, structured, and multisensory approach (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) to best meet the instructional and learning needs of students.

Residential program students will be accepted using additional criteria that align with a 24/7 environment. There will always be a maximum of 32 students and a 1:5 adult to student ratio.

A serene setting is essential to any boarding school, and Currey Ingram gets top marks in this regard. It is situated on an 83-acre property in Brentwood, Tennessee. Surrounded by rolling hills and a creek, this dyslexia and ADHD boarding school is the perfect place to learn and explore.
